Take the A35 from Dorchester to Weymouth. When in Weymouth follow the A354 to Portland( over approx 4 roundabouts)
At the Westham Crossroads go straight over the traffic lights to Portland. You will see the marina and Debenhams on your left hand side.
Go straight over the “Harbour Cross Roads” over the traffic lights towards Portland and Wyke regis, continuing on the A354.Go up the hill past the Rodwell Pub.At the traffic lights turn left at the “South West lodge hotel” signposted “Old harbour” and “Rodwell Avenue”.
Follow the road to the bottom when you will come to a mini roundabout. (There are car parks here on both the left and right hand side).Turn left, keeping the workshops and Brewers Quay to your right. Start climbing a hill (St Leonards Road) and turn right into Herbert’s place. At the sharp left hand bend you will see a sign for Hartlebury Terrace in front of you. There is car parking on the left.( gravelled area)
You will find Fisherman's Cottage , a light blue cottage, on the right hand side, through the green and white bollard's. It has a large slate name plate.
